Paul Keoni Chun - Yoga Teacher

Paul has been teaching Vinyasa Flow Yoga for nine years, during which time he has developed a style that interweaves a sensible, supportive spirituality with precise workout cues.   His classes have been described by students as "uplifting" and "life-changing" and distinguish themselves through thoughtful, compassionate, and encouraging communication, delivering effective body-development results which derive from Paul's choice of poses and the pace of his delivery.

A designated Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance, Paul teaches in the leading health and fitness clubs in New York City.  Students have praised his teaching for its creative sequencing, for the specificity in his cueing, his compassionate delivery, and the way in which he intertwines Yoga's spiritual messages into the physical practices.  He is the Founder and President of Keoni Movement Arts, Inc., “a qualified 501(c)(3) dedicated to bringing the Movement Arts of Yoga, Dance and Gymnastics to KIDS of all ages, abilities, and means.”  Over the last nine years, he has worked with persons with special needs: autism, Cerebral Palsy, schizophrenia, and cognitive delays.   In addition to teaching movement, he works as a professional performer, having acted, sung, danced, and tumbled in  both Off-Broadway and regional theaters, and having appeared in film and on television.  Paul holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University.

Spencer Chandler - Producer

Spencer is a man of many pursuits, most linked to the creative and performing arts.   As an actor he has appeared on Broadway (Slava's Snowshow), in film (Mendy: A Question of Faith), and on television (Law & Order, Criminal Intent, Jonny Zero).  He is also a filmmaker, writer, director, producer, artist, composer and musician, having recently taken up the banjo after a lifetime at the piano.   He is currently at work on an album of original banjo-based songs for young audiences.   He is the founding artistic director of Cannery Works, a nonprofit dedicated to helping artists find their path, and the founder and president of Tenth Man Productions, LLC, a company formed for the purpose of producing quality media.   He practices Yoga as often as he can, and is proud to have helped bring the right people together to create this offering.    Please visit spencerchandler.com for more information and say hello. 

Barbara Vlahides - Audio Engineer

Barbara is an audio engineer and sound designer based in New York.  She has recorded and mixed spoken-word productions for theatre, radio, audio books and education.  As a designer, Barbara creates soundtracks for broadcast programming, theatre and film.  Her recent credits include The Aliens on WBAI/Pacifica radio, Borinquen Lives in El Barrio at the Puerto Rican Travelling Theatre, Ectospasms at the New York Fringe Festival, the documentary feature A View from Below, and the short film, Kin of You.  Barbara holds degrees from New York University.  This is her first yoga production.
